My sons and I went to Las Vegas and environs for a week ......... we did not gamble even one cent,
but we saw great shows; ate great food; hung by the pool and drank; enjoyed superb building signage-art;
and explored phantasmic architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture.
We spent days in the desert, and two days boating, swimming, and exploring on
Lake Mead ( and at the Hoover Dam ) ........
Swimming in the lake, climbing and hiking atop islands.......
These are the tips of eroded landforms which climb from the bottom of the Colorado River and the canyons,
now submerged " to their necks " by the dam's lake .....
So, there are the three of us up on a rock, like little pebbles, sheltered by a lovely tree,
connoting domestic calm and peace: contemplative, meditating, relaxed,
viewing the calcified high-water marks along the canyon and lake;
.......... just being together and having some Dad and sons time
( which we thankfully do a lot, and have always done ) .............
